About Michael Brandwein
Michael Brandwein is a Partner at the Gordon Law Group, concentrating his practice primarily in the Corporate Law and Tax Compliance Departments. Michael completed his undergraduate studies at Indiana University, whereby he graduated Cum Laude with Honors with a degree in Political Science. Subsequently, Michael obtained his Juris Doctor from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law as a Dean’s List student and participant in Loyola’s Moot Court program.
In the Corporate Law Department, Michael oversees Gordon Law’s thriving transactional legal practice in areas of law such as mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting and review, corporate structuring, U.S. securities regulations compliance, entity formation and registration, and general business representation. Additionally, Michael has vast experience and a history of accomplishments negotiating settlements on behalf of his clients with the Federal Trade Commission.
Michael regularly establishes new business enterprises on behalf of clients, where his guidance and practical approach have helped clients establish and continue their operations successfully. Likewise, he has negotiated numerous business deals worth millions of dollars for his clients.
Michael’s role in Gordon Law’s Tax Compliance Department sees him guide clients through the complex areas of both domestic and foreign taxation as it applies to U.S people across the world. Michael oversees Gordon Law’s tax return preparation efforts while assisting clients in successfully submitting complex IRS disclosures through compliance programs such as the Delinquent FBAR Submission Procedures, Streamlined Offshore Procedures, and the Voluntary Disclosure Program.
As part of the Tax Compliance Department, Michael constructs creative business structures to assist Gordon Law’s clients with optimal tax savings strategies for both domestic and international business operations while achieving compliance with significant federal taxation disclosure requirements.
A born attorney, Michael’s hobbies include writing, reading, and researching new case law.
