It all started with one problem:
Everyday people don’t have the tools they need to navigate complex tax issues. Gordon Law was created to bridge that gap and give all taxpayers a fighting chance against the IRS and regulators.
Andrew Gordon, a tax attorney and CPA, saw this problem firsthand while working at the IRS and a Big 4 accounting firm. When facing an audit or tax debt, most taxpayers weren’t aware of their options, and they couldn’t afford expensive lawyers to defend them. They felt powerless against the IRS.
The big tax resolution companies were all about volume, treating clients as just another number. The boutique tax resolution firms were far too expensive for most people to afford.
Andrew had insider knowledge of how to solve tax problems, and he saw an opportunity to make these strategies accessible to all.
In 2012, he started Gordon Law with a mission to help everyday people resolve their tax problems through high-quality, affordable legal guidance.
Over time, clients began to approach Gordon Law with different needs and new challenges: a lawsuit from the FTC; accurate reporting of cryptocurrency taxes; and contract negotiations for esports players, just to name a few.
Although they seemed different on the surface, each of these issues shared a common thread with tax resolution: People were confused, navigating an unfamiliar legal maze, and facing challenges that often seemed impossible.
Lack of legal knowledge was preventing people from building a better financial future.
With a special passion for new technology and emerging industries, Andrew wanted to remove these obstacles. Our practice expanded to meet all our clients’ tax and business law needs.
