Tax returns prepared by people who also defend them
Complex personal and business returns, crypto tax returns and software cleanup, and planning, prepared through Gordon Law and our affiliated accounting firm, Gordon Tax. If the IRS ever has questions, the attorneys are down the hall, not across town.
Tax returns services
Two services, for the return itself and for the decisions before year end that decide what it says.
Why have a law firm involved in your return
Most returns do not need a lawyer. The ones that do share a feature: something on them could be questioned, and the answer matters. A large crypto gain, an unreported year being corrected, a foreign account, a position the IRS may question, a business with payroll exposure.
In those cases the return is prepared by our accounting team and reviewed by an attorney, the client conversations that matter are privileged, and if the IRS writes, the people who prepared the return are the people who answer. No retainer for timely current-year returns. We accept BTC and ETH for fees.
Results depend on the facts of each matter and are not a prediction of the outcome in your case.
1. Intake. You send what you have; we tell you what is missing.
2. Preparation. Gordon Tax prepares the return; crypto is reconciled wallet by wallet; foreign reporting goes with it.
3. Review and filing. An attorney reviews the positions that matter, the return is filed, and you keep the workpapers.

Questions people ask before they call
Straight answers to the questions that come up first. The consultation is where we answer the rest.
We can, but for a W-2 and a mortgage, software or a local preparer will serve you well for less. The firm earns its fee when the return has something on it that could be questioned: a business, crypto, foreign accounts, equity compensation, or prior years being corrected.
Not for timely current-year returns; those are billed when the work is complete. Prior-year and disclosure work is quoted after the consultation.
Gordon Tax accountants prepare it. A Gordon Law attorney reviews the positions that matter. If the IRS writes about the year, the same team answers.
Yes. The firm accepts BTC and ETH for fees.
