Operations Manager
Daniel Urban has over 13 years of experience in the tax controversy and tax preparation field. He has successfully represented thousands of clients in federal and state audits, collections defense, and before the United States Tax Court. Daniel also has significant experience aiding taxpayers as a preparer and reviewer of individual and business tax returns.
He first developed his passion for tax law as a law student clinician at the Michigan State University Low Income Taxpayer Clinic in Lansing, Michigan. After graduating from law school, Daniel joined a leading national tax controversy firm and served in a variety of roles as the company expanded including resolution attorney, director of resolutions, director of client satisfaction, and director of tax preparation.
Daniel joined Gordon Law in 2022 as a senior tax resolution attorney, but his prior management experience allowed him to grow into the role of Operations Manager. Daniel has assisted in developing processes and procedures for the crypto accounting and tax resolution team and has helped create evaluation rubrics for each team and department. Daniel strives to drive firm growth by ensuring every client has a superior experience.
In his spare time, Daniel enjoys following Chicago sports teams, playing ice hockey, and coaching baseball and basketball.
